Student Climate Coalition
Our Mission
The Palo Alto Student Climate Coalition seeks to encourage sustainability throughout our community by gathering youth environmentalists and providing them with resources to pursue climate action.
Our Story
Recognizing the amount of spirit for climate action that already existed in Palo Alto, the founding members decided to consolidate the Palo Alto youth environmental movement as one Youth Climate Coalition. United under the central mission to advance sustainable initiatives, our team now takes on projects spanning cities, ages and disciplines.
Current Work:
Palo Alto Sustainability and Climate Action Plan
PASCC is currently focused on achieving an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 through furthering and achieving goals as outlined Palo Alto's Sustainability and Climate Action Plan. We complete this through work in our Advocacy and Communications Committees: community outreach, Palo Alto City Hall public comment, local education in schools, and increasing climate literacy through social media.
